Dr Scholastica Chinyere Amadi is a senior lecturer in the Department of English and Communication Art, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She has been a member of the Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN), now Literacy Promotion Association of Nigeria (LiPAN) since 2006. Her research interests cover Applied English linguistics, Syntax and Morphology, English for Academic Purposes, Discourse Analysis and Sociolinguistics. She is a teacher trainer with an avid interest in the promotion of literacy skills through training and workshops. She has published scholarly articles in reputable journals, both locally and internationally and also books and book chapters.
