Prof Louisa Etebom Uwatt hails from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. She had her primary and secondary education in Calabar. Prof Lulu Uwatt has been an active member of RAN, now known as LiPAN, attending conferences in and outside Nigeria. She has facilitated many RAN workshops and held key positions at branch and national levels. She was once the Calabar branch Chairman, Coordinator and facilitator, South East RAN/SHELL workshops, national treasurer and president. She is a member of the Board of Trustees, LiPAN. Prof Uwatt holds special interest for literacy development especially as it pertains to literacy curriculum development, literacy materials development and teaching.
